Wang Yi, China’s top diplomat, will arrive in Moscow on Tuesday for talks to elevate Beijing’s position in the Ukraine solution. Wang met with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken at the Munich Security Conference and with Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto in Budapest before this visit.
According to Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov, Wang Yi and Russian President Vladimir Putin may meet during Putin’s visit to Moscow. Wang Yi has previously stated that China was eager to cooperate with the international community to prevent a further escalation of the situation in Ukraine and achieve peace. His European tour, which he will be wrapping up in Moscow, will conclude on the 22nd.
