The Vice President of the United States, Kamal Harris tests positive for Covid-19 without showing any visible symptoms, increasing the number of recently covid affected staff of the White House.
However, her press secretary Kristen Allen in a statement conveyed that Kamala had not come across President Joe Biden or first lady Jill Biden recently, due to their busy travel schedule.
She also said that Harris will be isolating herself in her home and will only return to White House after fully recovering from the virus. The physicians of the US Vice President have prescribed her an antiviral drug called Paxlovid which she has been consuming as guided.
According to a senior official, although Harris went to White House on Tuesday, she left the premises after she tested positive, before meeting Biden.
Kamala Harris has taken both the shots of her Covid-19 vaccination. She received her first dose Moderna Covid-19 vaccine many weeks before she came to the office and just after a few days of inauguration, she took her second dose of vaccination. Additionally, she received two booster shots, one in October and the other in April 1.
The third wave has been affecting many residents of the USA. On one hand, the government is trying to abolish the mandate of masks on aeroplanes. But recently, many new Omicron cases are being detected, even amongst the administration officials.
