Paris Hilton reveals she underwent abortion in her 20s: ‘I was young and unprepared’
Recently, Paris Hilton and her husband, Carter Reum, welcomed their first child, baby Phoenix, through surrogacy. Paris took to social media to share the news with a brief caption, “Baby Phoenix. Our whole entire world.”
However, in a recent interview with Glamour, Paris mentioned having an abortion in her early 20s. She felt ashamed and uncomfortable sharing the news publicly at the time. Paris shared that it wasn’t until last year overturn of Roe vs Wade that she found the courage to speak out about her experience and the importance of a woman’s right to choose what happens with her body.
Despite knowing that she wanted to have a child through surrogacy, Paris kept the decision private among her close friends and did not want to go public with such a personal matter. Paris and Carter began dating in late 2019 and were married in November 2021.
