NASA’s SpaceX Crew-6 mission is set to take off from Kennedy Space Center in Florida at 1:45 a.m. EST today. The mission will carry four astronauts, including two NASA astronauts. The crew is set to spend up to six months on the ISS conducting scientific experiments and maintenance work.
The launch will take place from Kennedy’s Launch Complex 39A, which has been used for several historic launches, including the Apollo 11 mission that landed humans on the moon for the first time.
The Crew-6 mission is the latest in a series of SpaceX flights carrying astronauts to the ISS as part of NASA’s Commercial Crew Program, which aims to develop a reliable and cost-effective means of transportation to and from the space station.
