Miss Universe Thailand, Anna Sueangam, made an amazing entry at the Miss Universe 2022 preliminary competition, Wearing a stunning dress made of pull tabs of canned drinks.
The dress was the creative approach by MANIRAT and is named the “Hidden Precious Diamond Dress,” along with the pull tabs, it had Swarovski diamonds to give it a striking look overall. The dress holds significance as the father of Anna is a garbage collector, and the mother is a street cleaner.
The beauty and confidence of Anna in the dress were unmatchable. Some addressed her as “the garbage beauty queen,” as she appeared in the show, all dolled up in a dress upcycled from waste materials.
Anna’s confidence was better showcased when she stated that one must not be trapped in the surroundings they are born into. Instead, they must have the trust and power to sail the boat of life in the direction they want.
Not just Anna wore a dress that had a special meaning. Miss Universe Philippines Celeste Cortesi’s dress also had significance. The definition of Celeste is “heavenly” or“sky blue” in Italian. She wore the sky blue gown to showcase the social issues which matter to her. Later, Celeste wore another dress where she added a meaningful cape that represents the children in need, with a hot pink bikini for the swimsuit round.
The grand crowning night of the 71st Miss Universe is scheduled for 15th January at the New Orleans Morial Convention Center in Louisiana.
