Man injures six people with a knife at Gare du Nord station, Paris

On Wednesday, a man deliberately attacked six people by stabbing them with a knife at the Gare du Nord train station in Paris. He injured them all, and one person was left in critical condition.

The police official spoke about the matter to the media and stated that they shot the attacker many times. The police also escorted the injured people to the hospital to provide them with primary treatment. The force further added that the motives of the man behind the act are still unclear.

While according to the sources, the attacker was shot by an off-duty police officer. The station where the incident occurred links London, Paris, and Northern Europe. It is counted among the busiest ones in the region.  The attack occurred at around 0645 CET, which is 11.15 am IST. Right after the attack, the police sealed the area to ensure security. They investigated and after which the trains started to operate as usual.
