On Friday, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping had a conversation over the phone. Referring to the phone call the Chinese government said that Moscow was willing to hold high-level negotiations with Ukraine.
During the telephonic conversation, Mr. Xi expressed his support towards Russia by calling for Europe to address “the legitimate security concerns of all countries”. As per the sources, in the call, Mr. Putin conveyed that Russia was willing to conduct “high-level negotiations with Ukraine”. Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, later conveyed ok Friday that Mr. Putin is ready to send a delegation of high-ranking officials to Minsk, the capital of Belarus, to hold talks with Ukraine officials. However, there are conditions for those talks, as Russia’s invasion continued unabated on Friday, still remains uncertain.
