China sends 71 warplanes, 7 ships toward Taiwan in the last 24 hours

According to the reports, from Sunday 6 am to Monday 6 am,47 Chinese planes crossed the median of the Taiwan Strait. Besides, some suspicious movements in the Navy vessels have also been detected.

Recently, China’s military harassment of self-ruled Taiwan has increased. While China claims Taiwan is its territory, Taiwan considers otherwise. China’s military is now launching planes and ships at Taiwan almost regularly.

The median of the Taiwan Strait is an unofficial border between Taiwan and China. Taiwan’s Ministry of National Defense confirmed that the border was mutually accepted by both parties, which China has now violated.

Among the planes that were sent toward Taiwan, included 18 J-16 fighter jets, 11 J-1 fighters, 6 Su-30 fighters, and drones. Besides, Taiwan also stated that it has monitored suspicious Chinese movements through its land-based missile systems and navy vessels. It is not new for China’s military to use large military exercises to showcase or put pressure to get its work done. This time the action can be a response to the U.S. government supporting Taiwan. China conducted large live-fire military exercises in the past as a response to U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan.
