12 injured in the fresh clashes of Israel

Jerusalem: Fresh clashes between Israeli police and Palestinians at Al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem on Friday has left 12 people injured, said the Palestinian Red Crescent. The incident happened as a part of the weeks of violence at the fleshpot site.

Sadly, the violence stroke on the last day of Ramadan, a Muslim holy month. The Red Crescent said that none of the injuries were fatal. However, a few people had to be admitted in into a hospital.

According to the Israeli police, the police force came after the rioters started throwing stones and fireworks in the location, including the Western Wall, a holy site for Jews below Al-Aqsa.

The police have reported that amongst the reporters, three accused have been arrested for throwing stones and “inciting the mob”

“For the past hour, the site has been quiet and (Muslim) worshippers are safely entering (the compound),” said police.

Even though the prime culprits have been arrested, the tension remains high in the location. For the past two weeks, at least 300 Palestinians have been injured in the Al-Aqsa compound, the third holiest site for the Muslims.

The international community has raised its concern about the targeting of Muslims in Israel during their holy month, Ramadan.
